About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Account Manager who thrives in large‑scale sales environments. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to unlock new opportunities, grow a territory, and build strong customer relationships that generate long‑term value.
Based at our Queanbeyan site, this full‑time role drives sales across the Canberra region — a competitive, relationship‑driven market where proactive engagement and thoughtful territory planning are essential.

You’ll manage an established customer portfolio across residential and commercial sectors while identifying and converting new market opportunities to strengthen Stramit’s position in the region.


What You’ll Be Doing

Drive Growth & Enter New Markets
  • Identify, target, and convert new customers across residential builders, commercial contractors and adjacent market segments.
  • Build a robust pipeline through strategic territory planning, lead generation and proactive outreach.
  • Expand Stramit’s share in Canberra through tailored growth strategies aligned to business priorities.

Build Strong Commercial Relationships
  • Become a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs, supply patterns and commercial drivers.
  • Strengthen loyalty through consistent engagement, solution‑based selling and exceptional service delivery.

Own Territory Performance
  • Develop segment plans, monitor KPIs and drive improvements in margin, volume and account profitability.
  • Analyse customer behaviour, competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunity gaps.

Collaborate for Success
  • Work closely with operational, customer service and production teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Manage your pipeline and customer insights through Salesforce CRM to enhance visibility and follow‑through.
  • Champion safety across all activities.


What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone with:
  • Proven experience in large‑scale, territory‑based B2B sales, ideally within building products, construction, industrial or manufacturing.
  • A strong track record in growth, new customer acquisition and expanding market presence.
  • Confident commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data, identify gaps and drive performance.
  • Exceptional relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence and close deals.
  • Persistence and resilience suited to a tight and competitive Canberra market.
  • Experience managing accounts using CRM systems (Salesforce ideal).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Full Australian working rights.
