Dimond Roofing, a leader in innovative roofing solutions and part of Fletcher Building, supporting New Zealand’s construction industry for over 50 years. Dimond Roofing is committed to safety, quality, and sustainability across all operations.

We are looking for a Health Safety & Environmental Business Partner that can play a key role in providing guidance, governance, and leadership in health and safety practices.

This position works collaboratively with operational leaders to implement and drive health and safety initiatives, develop EHS leadership capability, and ensure business sustainability through robust risk management and business systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and support annual EHS site plans and safety performance reviews
  • Ensure compliance with national and local regulations
  • Lead or support audits, risk reviews, and incident investigations
  • Guide EHS training and monitor requirements
  • Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and emergency preparedness
  • Provide regular reporting on safety performance and KPIs

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or diploma in HSE (preferably Health and Safety)
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior H&S role, ideally in heavy engineering or manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and drive cultural change
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
