The Role
As Specification Manager – Commercial for the Sydney Metro region, you’ll be the key influencer driving Laminex products into commercial projects. Build strong relationships with architects, designers, project managers and specifiers to ensure Laminex is the first choice for innovative, sustainable solutions.

What you’ll do:
  • Play a key role in shaping our customer experience through regular merchandising of client boards, keeping them inspired with our latest collections and ensuring their specifications are always front of mind.
  • Gain exposure to landmark, high-profile projects that define Australia’s future infrastructure — including the Western Sydney Airport and other nationally significant developments.
  • Bring your design experience coupled with strong industry relationships and proven specification success to secure Laminex products for key projects.
  • Drive and grow specification sales and convert opportunities into wins.
  • Build and nurture relationships with Tier 1 & Tier 2 architects and designers.
  • Deliver engaging CPD presentations and product training.
  • Manage projects tender phases from engagement to finalization and collaborate with all stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Provide market insights and competitor intelligence to shape strategy.
  • Maintain accurate data in Salesforce and plan your territory effectively.

What we’re looking for
  • At least 3–5 years of design experience in customer-facing roles within construction or design.
  • A ‘hunter’ mindset with a strong design and sales background; a collaborative partner who drives specifications engagement to finalization and converts them into wins.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously and within a team.
  • Highly organized with proven admin capability and Salesforce proficiency to drive specification tracking to completion while managing competing priorities effectively. 
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a passion for learning.
