Foreperson - 3 Waters / Drainage - Wellington

Higgins Wellington is looking for a skilled and motivated 3 Waters Foreperson to lead daily operations across our drainage and water infrastructure projects. We’re seeking someone with strong experience in 3 Waters work, and it’s a real advantage if you also bring knowledge of minor concrete, asphalt, and general maintenance activities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and supervising operators, labourers, and subcontractors
  • Planning daily activities and organising plant, materials, and resources
  • Running pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety checks
  • Ensuring work meets specifications, quality standards, and H&S requirements
  • Completing daily documentation and reporting
  • Supporting, coaching, and developing your team
  • Operating plant when required

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience in 3 Waters, drainage, or subdivision works
  • Leadership experience or readiness to step into a leadership role
  • Experience with minor concrete works
  • Experience with asphalt and minor maintenance work
  • Ability to read plans and organise work effectively
  • Solid understanding of QA and health & safety
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • WTR and Class 1–4 licences (essential)
  • First Aid (essential); STMS (desirable)
