Description

We’re looking for a detail‑driven, people‑centred coordinator to help us deliver seamless HR operations—from contracts and onboarding through to changes and leavers. You’ll be the go‑to for HR systems, data integrity, documentation and reporting, enabling confident, timely decisions across the business.

This role is truly flexible! Choose how you would like to work - 25 hours per week either spread across the week or select days to work. On top of this, we work in a hybrid environment with a blend of WFH and office days. Our office is located in Knoxfield.

The opportunity

In this pivotal support role, you’ll partner closely with the People & Performance team and business leaders to:

  • Own HR systems & data: act as a super‑user, ensure process compliance, maintain data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and support new feature rollouts, testing and education for managers and employees.
  • Coordinate recruitment activity: confirm talent requirements, develop position descriptions, schedule interviews, and prepare offers/documents in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Keep HR operations humming: create and maintain employment agreements, PDs, org charts and templates; manage personnel records and HRIS master data; provide oversight to HR admin tasks.
  • Support remuneration cycles: assist with annual salary review and STI processes, including data cleansing and reporting.
  • Provide entry‑level HR advice: guide leaders on policies (leave, benefits, recruitment) and help continuously improve HR processes.
  • Champion safety, wellbeing & engagement: contribute to HS&E initiatives and help coordinate moments that matter (e.g., R U OK? Day, International Women’s Day).

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in HR coordination or strong administration/operations background, with working knowledge of employment legislation and ER/IR.
  • Confidence with HRIS and Microsoft 365; sharp data entry and reporting habits.
  • Credibility built on delivery: organised, deadline‑driven, with great stakeholder, communication and customer service skills.
  • Proactive problem‑solver with strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to coach others.

Why join us

You’ll be part of a supportive, inclusive team culture within Fletcher Building’s Australian Businesses—with access to a broad benefits suite and growth opportunities, including:

  • Recognition & wellbeing via our Rewards Gateway platform (health & wellbeing hub plus discounts with 380+ retailers).
  • Free onsite parking
  • Market leading paid parental program including 26 weeks full paid leave + 5 additional days of leave when you return to the business
  • FBuShare employee share plan;
  • Employee Educational Fund (EEF) supporting learning for employees;
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Staff discounts across group brands (e.g., Oliveri, Laminex), plus corporate rates with partners (e.g., Bupa, Hertz).
  • A long‑standing commitment to inclusion and diversity
