About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Crane Operator to join Brian Perry Civil. This is a senior position for someone with extensive crawler crane experience, supporting complex foundation and piling projects across New Zealand.

  • Safely operate crawler cranes on major civil and foundation projects
  • Perform daily inspections and maintain cranes to manufacturer standards
  • Follow lift plans and ensure exclusion zones and safety protocols are in place
  • Work closely with foreman, engineers, and dogmen to deliver lifts efficiently
  • Contribute to planning and problem-solving for challenging site conditions
  • Mentor and share knowledge with team members to build capability

What You’ll Bring

  • 10,000+ hours operating crawler cranes on civil or foundation projects
  • Current crane certifications and full NZ driver licence
  • Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and ability to read lift plans
  • Piling experience preferred; marine and mobile crane experience an advantage
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing site conditions
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Good communication skills and willingness to support team development
