About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Crane Operator to join Brian Perry Civil. This is a senior position for someone with extensive crawler crane experience, supporting complex foundation and piling projects across New Zealand.

Safely operate crawler cranes on major civil and foundation projects
Perform daily inspections and maintain cranes to manufacturer standards
Follow lift plans and ensure exclusion zones and safety protocols are in place
Work closely with foreman, engineers, and dogmen to deliver lifts efficiently
Contribute to planning and problem-solving for challenging site conditions
Mentor and share knowledge with team members to build capability

What You’ll Bring

10,000+ hours operating crawler cranes on civil or foundation projects
Current crane certifications and full NZ driver licence
Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and ability to read lift plans
Piling experience preferred; marine and mobile crane experience an advantage
Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing site conditions
Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
Good communication skills and willingness to support team development
