Description

As an Inwards Goods Team Member at PlaceMakers Gore, you’ll be the go-to person for accurately receipting and managing incoming stock, ensuring our shelves are full and our valued building trade customers get what they need, when they need it. Your day will be varied and hands-on, combining precision with exceptional customer service working closely with the wider team to maintain stock accuracy, support the yard and showroom, and make sure everything is where it should be.

  • Accurately check and receipt all incoming goods using our internal systems and digital tools 
  • Manage special orders and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams 
  • Monitor and drive cycle counts to keep inventory accurate 
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly 
  • Process product returns, repairs, and warranty claims 
  • Assist in the yard and showroom when needed engaging with customers face to face recommending suitable products 
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards through general store housekeeping

Permanent full-time role based at PlaceMakers Gore offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll be more than just someone who checks deliveries you’ll be the detail-driven backbone of our branch. Accuracy matters to you, and you take pride in making sure every product is received, logged, and ready for our trade customers. You stay organised, solve problems quickly, and communicate clearly to keep things moving behind the scenes while supporting the wider team when needed.

  • Previous experience in inventory or inwards goods 
  • Bring a strong work ethic, approachable nature and committed to delivering deliver great service to everyone you meet
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident using technology and navigating multiple systems
  • Knowledge of building products or the construction industry is advantageous but not essential
  • Forklift Licence with F endorsement is a bonus
