The Role
As our Delivery Services Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive their orders in full, on time, every time. You’ll plan and execute delivery service solutions primarily across our Christchurch region while also supporting our national team when needed, focusing on route optimisation, communication, and exceptional customer service.

Daily you will be responsible for:
Planning and reviewing daily delivery routes 
Assigning all next‑day delivery orders and ensuring accurate time projections
Coordinating our fleet and 3PL providers to manage peaks in demand
Managing exceptions, same‑day orders, and resource requirements
Ensuring drivers and 3PL partners use Mobile Link for delivery execution
Taking calls from drivers and branches, problem‑solving within process
Completing daily data housekeeping and reporting
Maintaining strong health & safety practices and logging observations

This is a permanent full time role, working 40 hours Monday-Friday based in our Riccarton Branch.

About You
You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy, communication, and customer focus are essential. 

Experience with route planning tools (Descartes or similar)
Strong construction/building product knowledge
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Resilient and Adaptable in a dynamic environment
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Ability to build positive relationships across all levels
Energy, enthusiasm, and a team‑focused mindset
