Description

Who We Are

Stramit is Australia’s leading vertically integrated steel manufacturer and total steel building materials solutions provider. Part of the Fletcher Building Group, we employ 14,900 people across New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. Our purpose is simple: improving the world around us through smart thinking, simply delivered — creating real value for our customers and communities.

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail‑driven and tech‑confident administrator to support our credit and claims processes across the Stramit business.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career — such as a recent graduate or an experienced administrator — who is comfortable working across multiple systems, enjoys working with data, and takes pride in accuracy. You’ll be part of a close‑knit, experienced Claims team who will support your development, but you’ll also be trusted to work independently, follow structured processes, and manage information with confidence.

The work is fast‑paced and process‑driven, with a strong focus on data quality, system accuracy, and clear communication. Your contribution will directly support effective credit outcomes and help minimise warranty claims across the business.

This is a full‑time role based at our Knoxfield (VIC) site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating credit and warranty claims through internal systems and portals
  • Entering, reviewing, and maintaining accurate data across multiple platforms
  • Ensuring all claim documentation is complete, correctly recorded, and compliant
  • Auditing claims data for accuracy (pricing, stock, customer details, approvals)
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and prevent repeat claims
  • Supporting reporting, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Following safety procedures and contributing to a positive, team‑focused culture

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong computer skills and a high level of attention to detail, along with a proactive and reliable approach to work.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Strong confidence using Excel and business systems to manage and review data
  • A methodical, accurate approach to high‑volume administrative work
  • The ability to learn new systems quickly and follow structured processes
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks

Experience in a high‑volume admin, finance support, data coordination, or customer service role is highly regarded, but not essential — what matters most is your comfort with systems, data, and detail.

We’re proud to offer:

  • Generous parental leave (26 weeks full pay for primary carers or 52 weeks at 50%)
  • 4 weeks full pay for secondary carers
  • 5 additional ‘New Parent Leave’ days in your first year back
  • Strong inclusion and diversity benefits, including Gender Affirmation Leave
  • Access to PerkBox with thousands of retailer discounts
