About the Role

This role supports the planning and project controls function for the Te Awa Kairangi programme. You’ll help keep delivery on track by maintaining schedules, monitoring progress, and working closely with teams across the Alliance to support clear, accurate, and consistent programme information. • Assist with preparing detailed programmes using inputs from Alliance workstream leads

  • Identify scheduling risks or opportunities and support re‑programming when needed
  • Support workshops, planning sessions, Last Planner activities, and regular reporting cycles
  • Contribute to 3D/4D planning, Schedule Risk Analysis, and programme consistency
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Experience in construction planning (around 2+ years), or site-based engineering experience with an interest in planning
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and confident use of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with an organised and detail‑focused approach
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience
  • A commitment to safe ways of working and supporting positive sustainability outcomes

About Us

We pride ourselves on safely delivering a wide variety of construction and infrastructure projects for the people of New Zealand and the South Pacific. But our power is not in what we do, it’s in who we are. We are a team of 3,700 people working under three brands: Fletcher Construction, Higgins, and Brian Perry Civil. We may be a big team, but we haven’t lost sight of what really matters: looking after our people.

We recognise that treating our people well is only partially about what happens during work hours. It’s also about the impact we have outside of work hours too. That’s why we have incredible learning and development opportunities for staff and their families, industry-leading parental leave, support systems and generous corporate discounts.
