Description

The role:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting our largest commercial customer alongside a wide range of local small business owners. Based in our busy, fast paced Montreal Street branch in Christchurch, you’ll join a close-knit team of four Internal Key Account Managers and be part of a wider branch team of around 20 people.

  • Understanding the key customers’ needs and providing professional solutions
  • Answer calls, emails and quoting orders
  • Working with Site Managers to ensure specific time frames for their projects are meet
  • Communicating delivery times and preparing order ready for delivery
  • Communicating with suppliers to check availability of products. 
  • Ensure that our customers, who are made up of trades, businesses and homeowners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service
This is a permanent full-time role. Offering 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, as well as 1 rostered Saturday every 3-4 weeks. 

About you: 
  • Experience in sales coordinating or customer service is preferred 
  • Customer-focused attitude with the ability to be build rapport and form strong relationships
  • You will be an excellent communicator who is organised and excellent time management
  • Trade industry knowledge and/or product experience would be hugely beneficial, however not essential, as it would be your positive attitude and willingness to learn that we would be looking for
  • A motivated, self-driven person, with the skill to work proactively, independently and within a team
  • Be resilient and thriving working in a fast past environment 
  • A Full New Zealand drivers’ licence is preferred
