Description

The Urban Quarry has grown from a small local operation into a trusted supplier of high‑quality aggregate and quarry products for Auckland’s building and infrastructure sectors.
We are proudly community‑minded, safety‑focused, and committed to supporting sustainable growth across the region.

Our newly created role Business Admin/EA will offer a meaningful blend of executive support and business administration. You’ll provide thoughtful, proactive assistance to our GM Customer while helping keep daily operations running smoothly for our Onehunga site.

If you enjoy variety, collaborative teamwork, and have ability to multitask as well as being the person others rely on to make things work seamlessly, this role will suit you well.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating diaries, meetings, communications, and document preparation for the GM Customer
  • Supporting business administration activities, including accounts assistance, procurement coordination, and document management
  • Providing friendly and accurate weighbridge cover (full training provided)
  • Assisting with month‑end processes such as reconciliations, reporting inputs, and documentation
  • Helping maintain a safe, welcoming site environment, including visitor induction

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in executive support or senior administration roles
  • Warm and confident communication skills, with a collaborative style
  • Strong organisation, time‑management, and attention to detail
  • Comfort working with financial or accounts‑related tasks
  • A willingness to learn weighbridge operations
  • A calm approach when balancing multiple priorities

What We Offer

  • A supportive team culture where your contribution is genuinely valued
  • Stable, long‑term career opportunity in an essential industry
  • Training and development to help you grow
  • Variety in your day-to-day work and the chance to make a visible impact
  • Inclusive workplace that prioritises wellbeing and safety
If you’re someone who enjoys helping others succeed and creating smooth, well‑run processes, we’d love to hear from you.

Research shows that females and minority groups don’t apply for roles unless they match 100% the job description.

We are proud of your diversity and see it as one of the things that make us stronger. We welcome your individuality and encourage you to bring your true self to work, so if this role is of interest but you feel you don’t fit it, we would still love you to apply.
