About the Role

In this role you be responsible for operating plant safely and supporting progress on site. You’ll work with your foreman and crew each day, carry out practical tasks, and keep equipment in good condition. The work is practical and outdoors with tasks across structures, earthworks, piling and drainage.

  • Operate excavators, loaders, rollers and telehandlers across civil and structural work.
  • Complete pre‑start checks, record defects and maintain tidy equipment.
  • Lift, move and place materials using safe slinging and communication with spotters and dogmen.
  • Set up safe work areas and follow plans for each task.
  • Help the crew with groundwork across piling, drainage and earthworks.
  • Keep work areas clean and support housekeeping standards.

What You’ll Bring

  • Clean Class 1 or 2 licence (Class 4 an advantage).
  • Endorsements – WTR & Forklift
  • At least 4 years of relevant industry experience and minimum 500 supervised operating hours.
  • Current Site Safe passport.
  • Steady, reliable approach to communication, teamwork and daily tasks.
  • Commitment to safe work practices, tidy work habits and learning new systems to develop your career.
  • Willingness to contribute to other crews when not operating plant.
