Description

We’re looking for an experienced Regional Finance Manager to lead the finance function for our Hamilton region. This is a senior, hands on role where you’ll partner closely with operational and leadership teams, providing clear financial insight that supports sound decisions across projects and contracts.

You’ll take ownership of regional financial performance while guiding a small team, balancing detail with the bigger picture in a fast moving construction environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead regional financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet and reconciliations
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting cycles
  • Manage WIP, cashflow, cost control and forward workload reporting
  • Provide commercial support to project teams, including contract reviews and analysis
  • Oversee key processes such as stock, claims, bonds, insurance and FBT
  • Coach and support finance and administration staff, building capability and confidence

What You’ll Bring to the Role:
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior accounting or finance role
  • Experience in construction, civil contracting or project based environments
  • Strong financial analysis skills with the confidence to question and challenge
  • Clear, practical communication style and the ability to work across diverse teams
  • Experience leading or supporting others, or readiness to step into people leadership
  • CA status or progress toward CA is welcome, with support available.
