More About Your New Role

This Laboratory Technician role, based in Dandenong, provides hands on support within the Engineering and Technical team, contributing to product testing, quality assurance and technical support activities across the business. Working in an established laboratory environment, the role focuses on the day-to-day execution of physical testing, including sample preparation, operating and maintaining equipment, and conducting tests in line with recognised standards and NATA requirements. Strong organisation, scheduling and attention to detail are essential, as the role also includes data recording, analysis, reporting and documentation to ensure accurate and compliant test results.

This opportunity suits someone who enjoys structured, routine work and takes pride in accuracy, while remaining adaptable to changing priorities. You will work in a small, collaborative team with regular interaction across quality, engineering and testing functions, both internally and externally. The role is ideal for someone looking to build technical capability in a manufacturing and laboratory setting, with the aspiration to grow into a mentoring or leadership role over time, supported by a people focused and inclusive team environment.

Skills and Experience 
  • Experience supporting laboratory testing, or quality control in a perm or internship capacity 
  • Degree in Applied Science or similar 
  • Attention to detail when preparing samples, operating equipment and recording test results
  • Ability to follow established testing standards, procedures and safety requirements
  • Work effectively with engineers, testing and internal & external stakeholders.
  • Developing analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret test data and support investigations
  • A collaborative, proactive team member with a strong commitment to safety, quality & CI
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written 
  • You have a great learning agility and enjoy learning and growing in your role
