Description

The Role:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a hands-on and varied position where no two days will be the same. Your primary focus will be delivering our products directly to customers, while also supporting the team at the Trade Counter and assisting with day-to-day branch operations.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive their orders safely, efficiently and with outstanding service. In addition, you’ll help with inwards goods, stock organisation, and inventory processes to keep the branch running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing friendly, professional service to our customers, including tradespeople, commercial businesses and homeowners
  • Preparing, loading and securely restraining products for delivery
  • Supporting the team with inwards goods, stock put-away and cycle counts
  • Accurately checking and receipting products into branch systems
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and customer-ready environment
This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with one rostered Saturday per month.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll be a reliable and organised team player who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team. You’ll bring a positive, customer-first attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to manage a physical, fast-paced role.

You’ll ideally have:
  • Experience in customer service, retail, warehouse operations or inwards goods
  • The ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting as required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to build rapport with customers
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently under pressure
  • A plumbing background (desirable but not essential)
  • Confidence using computers and learning new systems
  • A full New Zealand driver’s licence (essential); forklift licence is an advantage
