Description

Are you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking a talented and innovative CAD Technician to join our team for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).

About the Role

This role focuses on producing accurate temporary works and as-built drawings that reflect what is happening on site, not just what was planned. You will work alongside construction, engineering and survey teams to keep drawings current, clear and reliable throughout the build.

  • Prepare CAD drawings for temporary works such as access, platforms, staging and protection
  • Produce survey-based as-built drawings using survey data, site mark-ups and records
  • Review and reconcile survey and construction information, resolving discrepancies with the team
  • Update drawings to reflect site changes and temporary works revisions
  • Apply project CAD standards and quality checks before issue
  • Maintain drawing registers and manage revisions in line with document control requirements

What you’ll bring to the role

  • A diploma or tertiary qualification in civil engineering, engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least three years experience as a CAD Technician in civil construction or infrastructure
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and experience with Civil 3D or 12d
  • Experience producing temporary works and survey-based as-built drawings for live projects
  • Confidence working with survey data, BIM models and common data environments
  • Clear communication skills, good organisation and a careful eye for detail

About Te Awa Kairangi

About Us

We pride ourselves on safely delivering a wide variety of construction and infrastructure projects for the people of New Zealand and the South Pacific. But our power is not in what we do, it’s in who we are. We are a team of 3,700 people working under three brands: Fletcher Construction, Higgins, and Brian Perry Civil. We may be a big team, but we haven’t lost sight of what really matters: looking after our people.

We recognise that treating our people well is only partially about what happens during work hours. It’s also about the impact we have outside of work hours too. That’s why we have incredible learning and development opportunities for staff and their families, support systems and generous corporate discounts.
