The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time warehouse Afternoon Shift Manager to join us at our Perth Distribution Centre, Welshpool WA
Reporting to the DC Manager, you will assist with the day to day running of the warehouse and general despatch duties, while overseeing a workforce of 8 store-people. 

Your primary responsibilities will include:
Managing the Afternoon shift operations, to ensure delivery on time and in full through the provision of outstanding customer service. In addition, continually evaluate and improve the efficiency within the warehouse picking  and loading processes.

The Afternoon shift Manager is also required to identify ‘root cause’ of issues, implement proactive & timely action plans to provide solutions; ensure policies & procedural compliance, plus develop an environment where continuous improvement (5S) is fostered and developed. Help ensure an efficient distribution of products whilst liaising with other departments to maintain effective communication channels across all business units to ensure optimum operations are maintained.

Standard hours will be 3pm - 11.30pm, Mon- Fri and is a salaried role with a highly competitive base rate.

About You:
Along with experience in a similar fleet manager or warehouse-based role, you’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Prior despatch and/or logistics experience 
  • Experience managing a medium to large team 
  • Experience in fleet management or warehouse management 
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to relate to people at all levels 
  • Computer literacy i.e. WMS, excel, word, outlook..
  • Self-driven, proactive with a can do attitude and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise, multi task in a fast-paced environment and a high attention to detail
  • Commitment to Safety, OH&S policies and procedures i.e. Chain of responsibility
  • Ability to work excellent hours of 3pm – 11.30pm Mon-Fri
