Are you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking a talented and innovative Training Coordinator to join our team for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).


About the Role

In this role, you’ll organise and support training across a major infrastructure project. You’ll work closely with teams on site and in the office to ensure people have the skills, qualifications and support they need to do their jobs safely and well.

This is a hands-on role with variety, where you’ll manage training schedules, coordinate providers, and keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

  • Plan and coordinate training and assessment activities across the project
  • Maintain and update the training calendar and communicate upcoming sessions
  • Manage bookings, logistics and attendance tracking for training sessions
  • Keep accurate training records, licences and competency data up to date
  • Work with leaders to identify skill gaps and arrange suitable training
  • Build strong relationships with training providers, ITOs and internal teams


What you’ll bring to the role

  • Background in training coordination, administration or H&S support within construction environment
  • Understanding of operator competencies, licences and certification requirements would be beneficial
  • Experience working with training providers and industry bodies such as Connexis, BCITO or Site Safe
  • Confidence using LMS platforms and Microsoft Office tools
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable tracking multiple training requirements at once
  • Personable and approachable, with the ability to build strong working relationships across site teams and providers


About Te Awa Kairangi 

Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme.   Fletcher Construction is working with Alliance partners AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whānui and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to deliver this transformative project.   This role is part of a collaborative alliance guided by shared principles of openness, respect, and joint accountability.
