Description

As a Trade Support Team Leader, you’ll lead from the front working alongside your team while providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure we consistently nail the basics every visit, every time.

You’ll partner closely with Account Managers, suppliers, and branch leadership, ensuring seamless service delivery and a high-performing, collaborative team environment. With a hands-on approach, you’ll support your team to deliver outstanding customer experiences, while driving productivity and continuous improvement in a fast-paced trade environment. Your focus will be on leading your team to provide exceptional end-to-end service managing enquiries, offering expert product advice, preparing quotes, and delivering tailored solutions that meet our customers’ needs.

  • Leading and supporting your team with day-to-day queries, coaching, and development
  • Taking ownership of customer enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
  • Providing product advice, quotes, pricing, and solution-based recommendations
  • Coordinating team performance, including reviews and staff rostering
  • Partnering with Account Managers on daily and weekly planning to capture opportunities
  • Liaising with inventory, dispatch, and suppliers to ensure smooth order fulfilment and delivery outcomes
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and customer-first thinking

Permanent full-time role based at PlaceMakers Pakuranga offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 

About You: 
You’re an experienced trade support or customer service professional ready to step up or already operating at a Team Leader level. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring a strong balance of leadership capability and hands-on delivery.

  • Leadership capability, with the ability to coach, motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor solutions to customer needs
  • Bring fresh ideas and a bold approach to problem-solving to help achieve team and business goals
  • Take initiative to review how things are done and make improvements where needed
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems 
  • Strong knowledge of the building materials and a solid understanding of the building and construction industry
