We’re looking for a collaborative and proactive Section Electrician to join our Portland team, helping to keep our operations safe, reliable, and continuously improving.
About the Role
This is a hands-on and coordination-focused role where you’ll work closely with production and maintenance teams to plan, support, and deliver electrical maintenance activities. You’ll play an important part in creating a safe environment, identifying improvements, and supporting the team to achieve shared outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Coordinating and carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
· Supporting and guiding Process Electricians to achieve quality outcomes
· Contributing to maintenance planning, scheduling, and shutdown preparation
· Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and optimise costs
· Supporting capital projects from planning through to commissioning
· Monitoring trends, identifying root causes, and helping implement improvements
· Building strong working relationships across production, engineering, and suppliers
· Upholding health, safety, and environmental standards in everything you do
What You’ll Bring

Essential:
· Registered Electrician with a current practising licence
· Trade qualification in Electrical Engineering (Level 5–7)
· Experience in a complex manufacturing or heavy industry environment
· Confidence working with maintenance systems, drawings, and electrical equipment
· A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Desirable:
· Experience within cement or heavy industrial processing
· Exposure to project work, planning, or budgeting
· Knowledge of control systems, CAD, or continuous improvement tools
